Patriotic Pinecones

I love to have pinecones sitting out all year and I love holiday decorations. That gave me an idea!

The day after I made this I saw something similiar on another site so I almost didn't post this. But after walking by it on the coffee table for several days I decided it is just too cute not to.

I used craft paint and sponge brushes to dab paint on the edge of each pinecone, let them dry and then displayed them in one of my favorite decorative bowls.
